A low fat version of a regular breakfast – whole wheat pancakes, turkey bacon, and light butter toast.
And also, my version of sinigang; I forgot to get rice.

Or rather, I didn’t expect this to be any good so I didn’t bother getting any. And when it turned out just fine, I had to do without…
Hello March!
February was a sluggish, somewhat depressing month, but it laid the groundwork for many good things to come. I can cook now, so I’ll be trying new recipes. It’s getting warmer, so I’ll be running outside a lot more. It’s also spring, and it’s my favorite season of the year. And daylight savings time means more evening light.
New month. I love new things.

Starts out a big mess

Then the painstaking process of layering the vegetables. It is *NOT* as easy at it looks in the movie… Well, it’s easy, but it’s a lot more time consuming. The vegetables were too thin to dash out like a deck of cards, so I had to layer them by hand.



and… ta da!

Verdict: I don’t like Ratatouille, haha. I think I cooked it just fine, but it tasted like roasted deli vegetables with tomato sauce, which it basically is. I eventually ended up eating it with French bread, and added olive more olive oil with garlic powder.
PS. When I was using the mandolin slicer, I sliced my thumb. Eek. … One can get to eager…
